Anne Hathaway wears a colorful outfit by Christopher John Rogers

Anne Hathaway may play a selfish businesswoman on screen, but in real life, she sparks joy. While promoting her new Apple TV+ series, “WeCrashed,” Hathaway stopped by “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday night. For the look, Hathaway wore head-to-toe colorful polka dots in a Christopher John Rogers three-piece ensemble and a La Medusa mini bag by Versace.

With the help of stylist Erin Walsh, she teamed a strapless top with wide-leg pants and an oversized blazer, all in the same gradient polka dot jacquard print from the designer’s Fall 2021 collection, Collection 008. The line – and Hathaway’s bright outfit – exemplifies Rogers’ playful, graphic nature. “Let the clothes bring JOY to you guys!” Walsh wrote on Instagram alongside photos of Hathaway. “I love that fashion can do that.”

Featuring cool shades of neon green, purple and orange, the actor’s look caught the eye on the streets of Manhattan as she posed for the show. The look is a fun departure from Hathaway’s typically sleek, preppy style, though she’s no stranger to experimenting with bold looks. For the virtual premiere of “Locked Down,” she chose three different metallic dresses, while at the premiere of “The Witches,” she opted for a dramatic red Ralph & Russo couture dress.

Prior to her recent late night appearance, Hathaway was at SXSW in Austin, TX. At the premiere of “WeCrashed” on March 12, Hathaway chose another distinct look: a sexy metallic Versace dress with cutouts on the sides. She also carried a matching meaningful mini handbag with the transgender flag, a piece from sustainable Thai brand Pipatchara, which focuses on hand weaving techniques and was created by two sisters. With Walsh’s help, it’s clear that Hathaway is taking a more considered approach when it comes to choosing the clothes she wears in the public eye.

Ahead, take a closer look at Hathaway’s latest look.
