DeskCycle Under Desk Bike Review

Screening report: If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to train at home or in the office, the DeskCycle Under Desk Exercise Bike is about to change your life.

I first started looking for under desk exercise bikes for my mom because they are great for older people with reduced mobility, but I quickly realized how great they are for anybody who spends most of the day at a desk. Hmm, hello!

Because my mom’s kitchen (her favorite place to hang out during the day) often doubles as her home office, I knew I had to buy her an exercise bike that was super quiet and didn’t distract me while I worked. Her mobility issues (due to Parkinson’s disease and advanced arthritis) mean she also needs a bike that has a super smooth ride, not a rough, jerky flow like you might find in lesser models. Dear. After much research, I came across DeskCycle Under Desk Exercise Bike.

My first thought when I found the bike was “$200!? It’s so expensive for this tiny little bike! However, considering how I counted on the bike to change my life, I decided it would be a good investment and shelled out the money. The bike arrived a few days later, I put it together in 20 minutes, before deciding I might as well try the bike myself by reading the manual.

I dropped into my mom’s living room recliner, threw away my headphones, and started pedaling, reading about removable pedal straps and an optional tether that helps hold the bike in place. place on slippery floors. (I then tested the bike on rugs, carpets, ceramic tile, and wooden laminate floors and never had a problem with the bike slipping.) By the time I finished reading the manual, according to the handy display screen, I had somehow managed to cover 10.5 miles in 31 minutes. Seriously? Yes really.

Let me mention that I’m a pretty hardcore cyclist. I own five bikes (yes, five – fixed gear, fat tire, folding, gravel, and fancy pants), so I never imagined using an indoor exercise bike. I’m not even interested in Peloton (sorry, not sorry!) because I just can’t get excited about pedaling a bike that will never even leave the room. I admit I can be a bit of a bike snob, so I was deeply shocked at how much I enjoyed riding this bike.

the DeskCycle Under Desk Exercise Bikeand is a super easy (dare I say “lazy”) way to get a quick workout at home or in the office. It slips under desks and tables as low as 27 inches (assuming you don’t have awkward desk or table legs sticking out) and at just 23 pounds I found it to be quite easy to transfer it from one room to another around the lodge. I ride it in the living room while reading and writing, my mom uses it in the kitchen while listening to the radio, and my sister uses it while playing video games.

Eight difficulty levels (easily adjustable with a little knob) let you take an easy ride or really sweat it out, depending on your mood. At the simplest level, I barely feel like I’m doing anything, so I’m able to read, write and fully concentrate. Upgrading it means I may have trouble multi-tasking, but I get a better workout. Note: You can also toss this bad boy on a desk or table and use it to work out your arms.

the DeskCycle Under Desk Exercise Bike is more expensive than most on the market, but it’s lighter, quieter, sturdier, and the pedals are easier to push, so I’m pretty happy with my purchase. I sure hope I never have to go back to 9-5 office life again, but if I do, this bike will definitely be with me!
