The county minor edged out Salthill / Knocknacarra before the winners scored for the opening goal when Power took the win after a good job from McGauran in the 26th minute.

St. Michael’s, however, responded impressively with Gavin Summerville with the half-time point, before McGuire was the first to respond when a St. Michael’s free shot from Gary Higgins struck the crossbar and that the wing striker was not mistaken in finding the net to go. everything is square in the extra time. Culhane’s third goal late in the game put Salthill / Knocknacarra ahead at the break, leading by 1-5 to 1-4.

The winners would have a slight advantage over the wind for the second half and two excellent points early in the game from corner forward Culhane widened the gap. Influential midfielder Hugh Gavin then opened his account to take his lead to four points six minutes into the second half.
