Hooters signs partnerships with John Daly, John Daly II

The multi-year agreements formalize the brand’s long-standing association with two-time major champion “Long John” Daly with the added ace of signing “Little John” Daly II as a name, image and and Likeness (NIL), the first NIL deal for Hooters and the University of Arkansas standout golfer. The Dalys will promote the world-renowned Hooters brand through various marketing activities, including prominent roles on social media and other digital channels.

“Hooters is thrilled to formalize our longstanding relationship with John and embark on an exciting new adventure with Little John as our first NIL Ambassador,” said Bruce Skala, senior vice president of marketing for Hooters of America. “John’s larger-than-life personality makes him an ideal representative of the fun-loving spirit of Hooters, while Little John will promote our brand to the next generation as one of the next big names in golf. We are delighted to have the Dalys, fantastic golfers and great personalities, on board as spokespersons for Hooters, on the final 19and hole.”

Hooters’ partnership with Daly reinforces an enduring bond between the iconic brand and the ultimate golf personality. In addition to being a Hooters social media influencer and spokesperson, Daly will wear Hooters branded apparel and use an orange Hooters golf bag with the retro Hooters logo on the PGA Tour Champions Tour. Fans will also have the opportunity to attend a meet and greet with Daly. at select Hooters restaurants nationwide.

“As a longtime fan of the brand off the course, I’m thrilled that this relationship with Hooters extends to the greens,” Daly said. “It will be a great partnership because Hooters is synonymous with authentic fun. I’m looking forward to representing the brand and having a great time doing it.

Daly II will also play a prominent role in Hooters social media campaigns, wear Hooters branded apparel at select golf tournaments and make special appearances at Hooters locations.

“Hooters is the perfect place for me to go and unwind after a long day on the course or in the classroom, so I’m honored to have been chosen as an iconic brand ambassador,” said Daly II. “I’ve seen my father’s great relationship with Hooters over the years, and I’m proud to continue my family’s association with this iconic brand.”

After five top 10 finishes, the Dalys posted a record 36-hole score of 27-under par to claim the 2021 PNC Championship. The victory is just the latest in a long list of accomplishments for Daly and Daly II.

After joining the PGA Tour in 1991, Daly won the PGA Championship and named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year the same year. He will win the Open Championship and the PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year. Prior to competing for the University of Arkansas golf team, Daly II was a second team Rolex Junior All-American in 2021 and ranked in the top 30 in the Rolex Junior Golf Association.
