The first annual Salt City Wine & Dine event will take place on August 27 at the beautiful Domaine de La Caille. This is your chance to sample a variety of dishes from over 35 local restaurants and taste a variety of wines from various wineries, including those made on the La Caille estate. There will also be live music performed by Chris Clouse, singer, songwriter and former competitive violinist, and Blaine Long, who you might recognize from The Voice, season 11. In addition to the musical numbers, feast your eyes of the magic of Rodney Reyes and the live painting created on site which will be auctioned at the event.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to wine and dine all weekend long!

Get your VIP on

As a Salt City Wine & Dine VIP attendee, you will have the opportunity to take a tour of the winery, Château La Caille Wines, the estate’s vineyard planted in 1986 with Seyval Blanc, led by the winemaker himself, Mike Chestnut. You can see for yourself how their wine is made and maybe even ask a few questions along the way. The unique flavor profiles of wine produced by grapes grown at an elevation of 5,350 feet in soil comprised of glacial deposits are not to be missed by wine lovers.

Alternatively, VIP guests could enjoy a wine pairing featuring La Caille wines expertly paired with Executive Chef Billy Sotelo’s dishes. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget! As a VIP, you’ll have access to all of the other amazing food and wine/spirit vendors on-site beginning at 4 p.m., an hour earlier than general admission attendees.

Bundle your tickets with the Wine Dinner Series

Prior to the event, La Caille will host a series of wine dinners as a special supplement to be purchased with your main event ticket; the first of the two will take place on June 23. Enjoy four courses of dishes selected by Chef Sotelo and Sous Chef Justin Nelson, perfectly paired by winemaker Mike Marron. The menu includes an octopus bruschetta sous vide, accompanied by La Caille Enchante and black truffle gnocchi accompanied by a glass of Château La Caille Pinot Noir. This add-on experience has limited tickets, so don’t sleep on it.

“All the changes and new things happening at La Caille will be highlighted during this event,” Nelson said. “We are working on a new show and La Caille is evolving. Add to that the food, you’ll see newer items that you don’t usually see here.”

Buy your tickets now (this event will sell out) and mark your calendars for one of Utah’s most unique events. Some of the best food, wine and drink are waiting to be tasted against breathtaking views!
